There is a beautiful lagoon on the way to the Breeding Centre of Giant Tortoises. It’s one of the best places in town to see flamingos.

Start at Iguana Crossing Hotel. The paved main road begins just behind the hotel and leads towards the centre. About halfway along, turn right and continue on the footpath. Keep an eye out for marine iguanas, shorebirds, yellow-crowned night herons and flamingos.

Please be careful: The area has little green poison apples. Some people can have a strong allergic reaction even from touching them.
